Bucharest WWTP is, undoubtedly, the most important wastewater treatment plant in Romania and the largest in south-east Europe. The project itself has been a challenge from its start, due to its magnitude and complexity. Multidisciplinary teams have been offering their efforts to adjust technical solutions and methods to lead to optimal results the people that live in Bucharest and around take advantage on.
It represents a major investment in the water infrastructure in the City of Brăila, covering the southern half of its populated area. The project is a part of the regional development programme of the Brăila county water infrastructure.
Rehabilitation of one of the most important main pipes that supply raw water to Sibiu water treatment system represents a challenge due to the geographical conditions and its technical condition. The main supplies water to the second Drinking Water Treatment Plant of Sibiu System.
The project has two main lines: upgrading and extension. In terms of upgrading, all the 16 berths are going to be operational at the end of the project, while extension comes with new platforms that will be offered for operating facilities.
Due to rapid development of the region of Ilfov, the water and sewage infrastructure must be upgraded. Therefore, under the increased demand, new objectives must be added to the existing systems and recalibrated to the peoplețs needs. The project refers to building new and rehabilitate sewage pumping stations, parts of the major regional sewage system.
The sea is alive, therefore its action to the shores must be limited in order to protect what people had developed and that action refers to erosion. The scope of the project was to ensure protection for human lives, assets, to limit the loss of land and to create a safe ecosystem.
Together with our partners, we had proposed the major development lines for the maritime transport in Romania, aligned with the requirements of our client, specifically stated at the start. Unfortunately, the war had occurred and we had to stop our work, due to drastically change of the former conditions.
